Wedding Band Live in The Broadhaven Bay Hotel, Belmullet, Co. Mayo
One thing I truly believe is all the videos wedding bands upload should be live. It’s ok to remix the audio because we have no way of monitoring it on the night as it’s being recorded but overdubs should be avoided!
Wedding couples are using Youtube more and more in their online search for the perfect wedding band so it’s only fair that what they see and hear in the video is exactly what they get on the night! The only time it’s ok to mime to a video, in my opinion, is for single releases or when making a music video. We did this with our cover of ‘The One’ by Kodaline. All the band recorded their parts in the studio a few days before so that on the night of the video we could shoot it much quicker and get several angles with one camera :)
ALL the videos I upload of the band are 100% live and footage from real weddings in Ireland. Sometimes I wonder does it look less polished and not stand up against some of the promo videos from other wedding bands but more and more couples tell me the miming videos online are ‘off-putting’.
Above is a video I made for a bride in the UK who couldn’t get to see the band live. I just placed a few of my cameras around the function room and chopped it down to about 6 minutes. The wedding was in The Broadhaven Bay Hotel in Belmullet, Co. Mayo. I think it clearly shows the type of music we perform in our 2018 wedding set. I can stand by it and say it is 100% the band that you would get for your wedding.
Brian :)
